Website Design Process

Website Design Process

Step 1: Discussing the Concept and Design

This is the process of defining the business objectives and user needs. it is usually accomplished in a meeting between the website designer and the client.

Step 2: Wireframing

It is the process of coming up with simple sketches of layout ideas for a website design. A wireframe is a basic visual guide used in website interface design. It suggests the structure of the website and relationships between its web pages. A wireframe enables you to work on strategic design decisions before beginning the actual website design and build. Wireframes are completed before the actual website is designed. Usually, website designs that have been “wireframed” turn out to be simpler to design and use. Wireframes allow for the development of website variations of a layout to maintain design consistency throughout the site. A user interface is the graphic design and appearance of a website. Wireframing your website will save you time and headaches in the website design process.

Step 3: Actual Website Design

It is the process of physically building the website on a computer using web design software such as Dreamweaver or content management systems such as Joomla, Drupal or Wordpress.

Step 4: Presentation

Upon completion of the website design, the website is then presented to the client or users for testing purposes.

Step 5: Website Launch

When the website design and functionality has been agreed between the web designer and the client, the website is then published on the Internet.
